NFL QB's continue to be hit-or-miss most weeks. Guys like Drew Brees put up huge fantasy numbers while many others struggle.

This week there are some high-profile matchups in the NFL that usually lead to big fantasy points because good teams tend to put up a lot of yards and TD's in big matchups.

Here are the top fantasy QB projections and rankings for this week.

NFL Week 7 Fantasy Football QB Projections

1. Eli Manning-

Manning takes on the 49ers in a matchup that would be a fantasy boon for any QB, landing Eli number one in the rankings. Plus it is a bounce-back fantasy game for Manning. He has Plaxico Burress back in tow and the two should be able to get their patterns down pat together in the next few weeks, leading to bigger fantasy numbers again for the QB and WR combination.

Burress was one of the most dominating WR's in fantasy football before his suspension so keep an eye on both him and Manning as the NFL season gets toward crunch time.

2. Jay Cutler-

New England still has a good overall defense but the secondary is quite weak so Cutler should continue his fantasy tear as one of the top QB's in this week 7 ranking list.

3. Drew Brees-

Going on the road to face Carolina is a tough fantasy matchup for a QB but Brees is too good not rank high.

4. Matt Schaub-

Don't be fooled by the Lions' defensive performance against a mediocre Vikings offense. Their secondary is ripe to get torched so my projection for Schaub is somewhere in the 250 yard-2+ TD range for week 7 QB's.

5. Brett Favre-

At Oakland seems like a tricky fantasy matchup but the Jets should control the game and the Jets' recivers continue to emerge as a top fantasy WR targets for Farve, a dependable fantasy QB.

6. Aaron Rodgers-

Green Bay knows how to attack Cover-2 defenses and Indianapolis isn't much better than some of the others they've seen. Rodgers' projection is somewhere in the 200's with multiple TD's for week 7 fantasy QB's.

7. Philip Rivers-

At Buffalo is a fairly tough fantasy matchup but the Chargers have been playing great lately, shooting Rivers up the rankings at QB.

8. Matt Cassell-

He hasn't looked great but Denver's defense has looked perhaps worse so expect some fantasy numbers in week 7 for this young QB.

9. Peyton Manning-

He looks like the old Peyton again. A case could be made to put him higher. The GB-Indy game should be high-scoring enough to more than justify Manning's fantasy QB ranking for week 7.

10. Brad Johnson-

Johnson may be 40 years old but St. Louis has a bad defense and the Cowboys are angry this week. Look for a blowout and better-than-expected fantasy QB numbers in week 7.
