Most NFL teams are going with a two-back system to keep RB's fresh for the playoffs.

Week 13 will be a good week for fantasy running backs as the weather gets colder and teams start establishing the run more to set up for the playoffs.

Week 13: RB Rankings Fantasy Football

1. DeAngelo Williams-

No more worries about Jonathan Stewart stealing red zone carries and taking away this RB's fantasy points because Williams routinely scores on long runs. That means even if Williams is stopped often, he still has the ability to break a 70-yard TD run to turn in a respectable fantasy RB day and that is invaluable in picking your fantasy lineup, especially at the RB position in regards to matchups in week 13.

Williams is sure to have a good 75 yards or more and a TD against the Packers in week 13.

2. Ronnie Brown-

The extremely speedy RB fantasy star Brown goes up against a weak Rams defense on turf this week making for a big fantasy day. This is the best matchup in all of week 13 but I have him slightly behind Williams because Williams is more of a big-play threat at this point the way he's been running and racking up fantasy RB points.

3. Adrian Peterson-

An easy play every week, Peterson faces the Bears in week 13. You won't find a much more consistent RB option for fantasy leagues than Peterson and yet he is still due for a breakout game for even bigger points. Week 13 could be that weak against the Bears.

4. Marion Barber-

Tony Romo's return helps Terrell Owens and the WR's as well as the RB's like Barber. Barber should re-claim his spot as a top fantasy RB down the stretch as Romo gives him more red zone opportunities and more TD's subsequently.

5. Darren McFadden-

Had a breakout week in week 12 and week 13 could be even bigger against the Chiefs. Keep in mind that the Chiefs might be keying on him though and consider this a possible boom or bust-type pick. I would go with the former for this rookie RB in week 13 for fantasy purposes.

6. Chris Johnson-

The Lions are usually fired up on Thanksgiving and all but Johnson is the type of running back who can break off a huge run for big fantasy points with ease, especially against a defense like Detroit's. Detroit's LB's are so bad at tackling that one cut could lead to a 50-yard TD run in the blink of an eye for Johnson in week 13. He is a top RB pick for sure.

7. Thomas Jones-

Steady, powerful, and mature, Jones is a good bet to carve up the Broncos on the ground in what could be a back-and-forth game in week 13. This RB could also get some yards through the air this week.

8. Jamal Lewis-

The Colts' run defense can have a hard time with power RB's like Lewis and week 13 is his chance to shine in what could be cold temperatures in Cleveland. Play Lewis and expect the kind of fantasy points production he had with the Ravens in his prime in week 13.

9. LaDainian Tomlinson-

LT is a competitive guy and still the top RB in the NFL despite his falling production. Don't think he doesn't want to overshadow his former backup Michael Turner against the Falcons. Expect big points from LT in week 13 for fantasy purposes against Atlanta.

10. Michael Turner-

While the Chargers are a good team and they get the Falcons at home, Turner is still a top fantasy RB and his talent is actually in the same league with Tomlinson as some thought. Week 13 rankings have him generally a bit lower than this but he also has a lot to prove against the Chargers leading to a nice fantasy day this week.
