Week 13: Fantasy Football WR Rankings

2008 FFL projections for receivers

Nov 25, 2008 Nick Meyer

Here is a look at the top WR picks for fantasy football as the 2008 season heads toward the playoffs for fantasy leagues.

There are a lot of good matchups for WR's this week and that could lead to big points. But the key is to pick the right receivers.

Week 13: WR Rankings Fantasy Football

1. Terrell Owens-

The problem child and talented WR takes on the Seattle Seahawks on Thanksgiving Day. He should be pumped up to deliver one of his vintage performances and now that Tony Romo is back for the Cowboys, Owens is a good pick to get 2 or maybe even 3 touchdowns in week 13 of fantasy football action.

2. Larry Fitzgerald-

The Eagles are in a bit of disarray this week. If Donovan McNabb comes off his benching and throws another 2 to 3 picks, things could get really ugly. Against the Eagles' blitzing schemes, the lob to Fitzgerald will be a big-time weapon and week 13 could yield a good 2 touchdowns or so for Fitzgerald at the WR position.

3. Ted Ginn Jr.-

Greg Camarillo is likely out for the season for the Dolphins and Ginn has the speed to light up the Rams, especially on turf. This may seem a bit high but the Rams can't cover him or anyone for that matter.

4. Hines Ward-

If Ben Roethlisberger gets time to throw at all against the New England Patriots in week 13, Ward will have a big fantasy day with around 100 yards or more.

5. Roddy White-

Matt Ryan is for real and so is Roddy White. White is now a true star at the WR position for any fantasy football team. In week 13, White goes up against the San Diego Chargers whose pass rush isn't the same without Shawne Merriman and the cornerbacks he's facing don't scare a whole lot of people.

6. Andre Johnson-

The Jaguars are a solid defensive team but go ahead and pencil in Johnson as a top WR for week 13 fantasy owners because the Texans can put up points at home with either Sage Rosenfels or Matt Schaub at QB.

7. Anquan Boldin-

Deadly on the short passes and getting yards after catch, Boldin is a great matchup at WR for the Philadelphia defense in week 13. He is a must-play this week even though Larry Fitzgerald will also put up big fantasy numbers at the WR position.

8. Reggie Wayne-

The Browns could benefit from some bad weather but Wayne is still a top-notch fantasy WR option every single week and this week is no different. The Browns defense is nothing special, that's for sure.

9. Lee Evans-

Coming off another 100+-yard day last week, week 13 brings a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. Evans is a good bet for a TD or more at the WR position and he could take off and have his biggest fantasy receiving day yet with a little luck as well.

10. Greg Jennings-

The Panthers are good but Jennings is still a top WR in fantasy leagues everywhere. The Packers have hit a rough stretch but they're too talented not to have a breakout game soon. Jennings will benefit and continue to put up good numbers from his WR spot.
